The real problem
You've already tried the towel
It's soaked in an hour. Here's why the usual fixes keep failing.
Big dogs don't sip, they plunge
A Lab or a Shepherd puts half its face in the bowl and drinks like it's putting out a fire. Every gulp throws water over the rim. An ordinary bowl is a launch pad.
Then they walk away dripping
Whatever's still in the jowls comes out on the way to the couch. That's the trail across the hardwood. No bowl on earth stops that part, and we won't tell you otherwise.
So you mop, and buy another towel
Towels soak through. Flat mats let water run off the edge. Deep bowls just mean a bigger splash. You end up with a bucket, a boot tray, or water bowls banished to the yard.
Two jobs, two parts. Cut how much water leaves the bowl, then catch what still escapes.
How it helps
A bowl that fights back, and a mat with an edge
The floating plate
A plate rides on top of the water. Your dog drinks from the small pool that comes up through the middle instead of plunging the whole muzzle in. Less water in the face means far less water flung out of the bowl.
- 3-litre stainless bowl, about 101 oz, for dogs who drink by the gallon
- Plate lifts out to rinse; bowl and plate are dishwasher safe
- Non-slip silicone base, so the bowl stays where you put it
- No filter, no pump, no batteries, nothing that stops working
The raised-edge mat
60 by 40 centimetres of food-grade silicone with a lip all the way round. Drips and dribbles around the bowl land on the mat, not the floor. When it's had enough, lift it by the edge and tip it into the sink.
- About 23.6" × 15.7", so there's mat on every side of the bowl
- Raised edge around 1 cm, enough to hold a real puddle
- Rolls up, wipes clean, doesn't slide on tile or wood
Kitchen, hallway, car
The bowl works in the back of the car as well as it does by the fridge, because the plate stops water sloshing on the move. Most people end up with one station where the dog drinks most and a second by the back door.
- Two-station option for upstairs and downstairs
- Bowl is 20 cm across and 12 cm tall, side-table sized
- Works for cats and small dogs too, though they were never the problem

Before you ask
Honest answers
Will it stop the mess completely?
No, and we won't claim it. The plate cuts how much water your dog can fling out of the bowl. The mat catches most of what still drips around it. Water carried away in the jowls and dropped across the room is a different problem, and this doesn't solve it. Expect less water on your floor, not none.
What if my dog plays with the plate?
Some do. If your dog turns anything that floats into a toy, this bowl will become a toy. Skip it. We'd rather lose the sale than the refund conversation.
Is 3 litres big enough for a Dane?
It's about 101 oz, more than most large-breed bowls. A giant breed that drinks a gallon a day will still need it refilled, but it won't drain it in one visit.
How do I clean it?
Lift the plate out, rinse both, put them back. Bowl and plate go in the dishwasher. Lift the mat by the edge, tip it in the sink, wipe it.
Why does shipping take 10–14 days?
Because we're a small shop testing whether this product deserves to exist, and we ship each order from the maker rather than buying a warehouse of stock first. The bowl and the mat travel separately, so you'll get two tracking numbers. If enough people want it, US stock and faster delivery is the next step.
What if it arrives damaged?
Send a photo within 7 days and we replace it or refund you in full, shipping included. You don't send the damaged one back.
Can I return it if I change my mind?
Yes, within 30 days, unused and in the original packaging, with return shipping paid by you. We'd rather say that plainly up front.
